The Junik Ode is infamous for being an important institution exercising the customary right as instructed by the Leke Dukagjini Canon. The reeve of the village was the chair of the Junik Ode.

In the architectonic front, the Junik Ode is a typical Dukagjinian tower, encompassing fortification elements. The ode was renovated as part of the "Restoration of the Five Towers of Kosovo" project, supported by the European Commission and Sida and implemented by CHwB.
