Village Letnica, situated in Karadak Mountain, is beside the border line with Macedonia. Letnica is scattered into three hills, with bold vegetation and attractive hiking tracks.
The pilgrims raise their tents beside the church and stay awake through the night under the lights of candles burning throughout the village.
The mass is held on the next day. The worshippers try to touch the statue of Saint Mary with their jewelry, trying to grab a piece of cloth which is divided into many pieces. The Church of Saint Mary, looks above the village Letnica. It used to be visited regularly by Mother Theresa and her family during her childhood. It is said that Mother Theresa she got her inspiration for her coming life, in this church.
