Sheep shearing is one of the most important rites in a shepherd’s life. The rite is held throughout the mountains of Deçani municipality by the shepherd families.

During the shearing, the shepherds show their capabilities by engraving different ornaments of pagan origin on sheep’s wool, such as the Sun, the Moon, the snake, etc.
