Leaving the city of Mitrovica to the north, 8 km northeast of the city, after passing the first tunnel you have entered into an area as strange as it is also beautiful. The serpentine road begins with Stari Trg, followed by Rashan, Bare and ending in Bajgora. Starting in Stari Trg, as an industrial settlement, the mountainous brilliance begins with scattered houses and abandoned apartment building in the valleys – built under strict regime of communist architecture – leaves the impression that this town used to be alive and crowded with people. Today the town is almost empty.
