Shtërpce

Shterpca is located in southern Kosovo, with approximately 13.600 inhabitants, with mainly ethnic Serbs minority. Shterpca is a rural settlement where agriculture is the essential activity in the municipality. The municipality is mainly known for its skiing center in village Brezovica and the National Park of Sharr, being the only one in Kosovo and holding territory within 4 municipalities with 60 percent within Shterpce municipality. As Shterpca has a mainly mountainous terrain, its terrain is composed of the Sharri Mountains and Lepenci Valley. Elevation varies from 900 m, on Lepenci valley, and 2500 m at the top of Luboteni. Shterpce is bordered with the municipality of Prizren, Ferizaj, Suhareka, Kaçaniku and with Republic of Macedonia partially.

The largest part of the municipality is not urbanized yet except for Brezovica, which has served as the main skiing center in Kosovo for years. The municipality of Shterpca has a huge touristic potential thanks to Sharri Mountains, which remains one of the most suitable skiing terrains.
